Taster Pack

  • £8.95

New to Small Beer? Try three of our most refreshing beer styles that deliver maximum flavour without as much alcohol.

Our Taster Pack includes:

  • Pale (2.5%): A juicy pale ale that balances hoppy bitterness with a tropical finish.
  • Lager (2.1%): A London lager in the classic pilsner style, with floral notes and a crisp citrus bite.
  • Hazy IPA (2.6%): Our juiciest beer yet, with big flavour from a trio of tropical American hops.

All three beers are sustainably crafted in London's first B Corp brewery and snugly packaged in a recycled cardboard box.

This lovely little box is a thoughtful gift idea or the perfect midweek treat.

If you'd prefer more beers, check out our Zesty Mix which contains the same three Small Beer styles.

I'd been looking at Small Beer for a while but was worried about how the low ABV beers would taste. The taster pack was a perfect way to check, and wow: there is lots of great flavour packed into here! All tasty: the lager and hazy beer just edging it.

FAQs

SMALL BEER is brewed entirely in our brewery in South Bermondsey, which helps to reduce our carbon footprint and boost our sustainability credentials. The recipes were developed by our co-founder Felix and our beers are now primarily brewed by our head brewer Ben.

Our bespoke brewing kit allows us to brew our beer to strength, which means that we don't do anything to remove or lower the alcohol content that occurs during fermentation. Unlike other breweries, we don’t dilute or dealcoholise our beers, simply because we never compromise on flavour. Pure brewing, no funny business!

Yes, all of our beers are 100% vegan. We don't use lactose, finings or any other ingredients that are derived from animal-based sources in our beers. We only use natural ingredients and traditional brewing methodologies.

Our brewery in South Bermondsey is home to a bespoke brewing kit, which was built exclusively to produce beer up to, but not above 2.8% ABV. We only use natural brewing ingredients in our beers including malted barley, hops yeast and water. Depending on the beer style you may also find that we use the best of home-grown oats, rye and wheat.

Without giving too many secrets away, our beers are conditioned - or 'lagered' for a minimum of six weeks - which is when they develop their undeniably clean yet pronounced flavour profiles. If you are interested in learning more about our brewing process, you can book yourself onto a brewery tour in Bermondsey.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, which is why we were so immensely proud to be London's first and only brewery to gain B Corp certification. All the electricity in our brewery comes from the wind, sun and sea. We have also saved over 10 million litres to date due to our innovative dry floor policy. You can read more about what makes our brewing process so eco friendly on our dedicated sustainability page.

Our cans of Small Beer IPA are gluten free, as the beer contains less than 20 ppm (parts per million) gluten. Although other beers in our range do also contain less than 20 ppm we do not test their gluten levels with the same frequency so we cannot provide any guarantee. We therefore do not classify these other beer styles as gluten free and do not recommend them for coeliacs.

If you are looking to reduce gluten, our SMALL BEER LAGER contains less than 100 ppm gluten, which means it can be categorised as a low gluten beer. To understand more about whether this may be suitable for you, we recommend reading our article on the amount of gluten in beer.
