Stop by our brewery in South Bermondsey for freshly-brewed beers, tasty snacks and awesome events.

Located close to the Bermondsey Beer Mile, the Small Beer taproom is open to the public Friday & Saturday. We also host events during the week, including live music, ceilidh nights and pub quizzes!

We are always open:

Fridays from 4pm to 8pm

Saturdays from 12pm to 6pm.

You can walk to our taproom from several nearby train stations:

The Small Beer brewery is an 11-minute walk from The Den, the home of Millwall Football Club, which makes our taproom one of the best Millwall pubs for Saturday match days.

 

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Crafted between 2.1-2.8% ABV, we brew mid-strength beers that are designed to meet the demands of modern life.

ON KEG:

  • SMALL BEER LAGER 2.1% ABV 
  • SMALL BEER HAZY 2.6% ABV 
  • SMALL BEER PALE 2.5% ABV
  • SMALL BEER IPA 2.3% ABV

ON CASK:

  • SMALL BEER STOUT 2.5% ABV 

We also have revolving guest beers on tap from local favourites like Saint Monday and Windsor & Eton brewery, typically circa 4-5% ABV and our guest cider tap features local ciders from Against the Grain. 

Other drinks available: A full bar service, including a range of outstanding spirits and mixers, cocktails such as Negronis, Palomas, Aperol Spritz, red, white & sparkling wines.

Book a brewery tour in Bermondsey and we will take you behind the scenes of our one-of-a-kind brew kit, which is designed completely bespoke for brewing mid-strength beer. Whether you want to purchase tickets for yourself or gift them to a friend, we have you covered.

You will sample our range of five classic beer styles throughout the tour, taking you on a journey across the malt spectrum. You'll also learn about our pioneering approach to sustainable brewing that's driving positive change across the brewing industry and saw Small Beer become London's first and only brewery to become a certified B Corp.

The tour runs for a full hour and includes a welcome beer on arrival and a taster of five beers as part of the tour. We recommend arriving 15 minutes before the start time of your tour and you're very welcome to enjoy a beer or two in our taproom bar afterwards.

If you've been gifted a physical brewery tour voucher (that looks something like this), please pick one of the dates listed on this page and email events@smallbeer.co to let us know your voucher number and the date you'd like to visit.


Buy gift vouchers now and you or the recipient can choose to visit at any time within the next 12 months.

Click on the 'Buy Now' box and you will be given the option to specify the name of the recipient and write them a gift message. You'll also be able to choose whether the voucher is delivered to your email address or directly to the recipient.

The voucher will guide the recipient back to this page to redeem and book a date of their choosing.



TAPROOM FAQs

When is the Small Beer taproom open?


The Small Beer Taproom is open every Friday from 4pm- 8pm and Saturday from midday to 6pm. On some Saturdays, we do close for private parties and weddings. Whenever this happens, we aim to make it clear on this page as well as the on the Instagram account for our taproom. If you have any doubt, we recommend calling us ahead of your visit.

Is Small Beer on the Bermondsey Beer Mile?


The Small Beer brewery and taproom is close to several craft breweries and bottle shops that make up the Bermondsey Beer Mile. If you're tackling the Bermondsey Beer Mile on a Saturday, we recommend starting in the Small Beer taproom, and then making your way up to London Bridge, where your food and public transport options are plentiful. Alternatively, you can do it the other way around, kicking things off on Druid Street and ending your day in South Bermondsey, where you can visit Four Pure and Small Beer before closing time at 10pm.

Is the Small Beer Taproom available for private hire?
